Residents Recreation Services Recreation FacilitiesThe Township of Terrace Bay offers a wide variety of activities and facilities to satisfy the recreational needs of its residents.
Recreation Centre
Fitness Room
Our fitness room includes: universal weight machine, free weights, stairmaster, 3 treadmills, exercise bike and elliptical machine. The weight room is open to residents ages 13 years and older.
Saunas & Change Rooms
We have a ladies & mens change room with showers, lockers, washroom and sauna. Locker Rentals available.
Squash & Racquetball Court
1 squash and 1 racquetball court is available for booking in 45 minute intervals. Racquet rentals available.
Activity/Games Lounge
Our lounge is equipped with a pool table, table tennis, air hockey and foosball games. It has a nice seating area to relax with music.
Arena
The Terrace Bay Memorial Arena with a seating capacity of 1,000 is the focal point in the winter with Figure Skating, Minor Hockey, and Oldtimers Hockey leagues in operation. Public Skating times are held daily.
Curling Club
Our curling club features 4 sheets of ice with a licensed lounge. League curling is offered.
Bowling Alley
A 4-lane bowling alley featuring 5-pin bowling is situated in our recreation facility. Bowling parties are available for booking. Open bowling is available when the alley is not booked.
Swim Pool
A 25 metre heated outdoor pool with diving board and slide is open at end of June until the end of August. Swim lessons, swim club, and aquabics are offered. Public Swimming is held daily. The pool is available for party rentals. Swimming Pool Information Page
Meeting Rooms
3 meeting rooms are situated in our facility. Free use of the meeting rooms are available to community organization & community service groups.

Playgrounds/Skateboard Park
3 playgrounds: Poplar , Southridge & Superior and skateboard park is located next to the swimming pool
Library
The library has relocated to the Cultural Centre. Internet and computer access is available. Visit the libary website
Outdoor Recreation
Aguasabon Golf Club
The golf course is operated by volunteers, and offers 9 holes of golf, clubhouse and restaurant. Visit the golf club website.
Trestle Ridge Ski Hill
The Ski Hill is located in town, and is run by a group of volunteers. The ski hill opens for the season in December (tentative – due to snow conditions). The hill is open on the weekends. Trestle Ridge Ski Hill Information Page.
