Police Services Board – Provincial Appointed Board Member
The Township of Terrace Bay Police Services Board is looking for 1 - Provincial Appointed Board Member to serve on the board.
The Police Services Board oversee how policing is provided in your local community. They contribute to their community’s safety and well-being by working with local citizens and organizations to ensure their community receives the appropriate policing it needs. A municipality’s policing is overseen by a board where the community chooses one of the following:
- to establish a municipal police force
- to establish a joint police force with other municipalities
- to contract with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to receive policing services

Call for Local Committee and Board Members
Council is seeking volunteers for positions on all Committees and Boards during their new four-year term commencing January 2023.
If you have a specific interest and would like to share new input, ideas and suggestions, we hope you will consider one of the following positions:
Snow Piling Rules
In accordance with Bylaw No. 29-2014, a Bylaw to Prohibit the Dumping and Depositing of Refuse, Section 2, “No person shall throw, place, dump, deposit or permit or cause to be thrown, placed, dumped or deposited any refuse on any highway within the Township”.
We ask that you please ensure that there is no snow deposited on Municipal roadways, sidewalks and parking lots during your cleanup.
This Bylaw will be enforced.

Terrace Bay Public Library Board Vacancy
The Corporation of the Township of Terrace Bay is accepting applications for board members for the Terrace Bay Public Library Board 2023-2026 term.
Qualifications
Besides an abiding passion for libraries, the applicant must be:
• at least (18) eighteen years old.
• a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada).
• a resident of the Township of Terrace Bay; and the applicant must NOT be employed by the board or by the municipality.
Commitments:
• To participate as part of the Board and fulfil the goals and mission as set out in Library’s most recent Strategic Plan.
• The Board member represents a community perspective and is expected to represent the library in the community.
• This is a volunteer position.
• Minimum of seven (7) meetings per year (held monthly)
