CAN I DROP OFF MY RECYCLING AT THE LANDFILL?
Yes, you can drop off your recycling at the Terrace Bay Landfill—there is no cost for residents and businesses. The rules and requirements for recycling are the same for both businesses and residents.

HOW AND WHAT CAN I RECYCLE?
When recycling in Terrace Bay, we ask that residents use transparent plastic bags (regardless of colour) and keep fibres and containers in separate bags. Please clean your containers of any food before recycling—fibres must be dry.
What residents and business can recycle is outlined below.

WHAT DO I DO WITH MY SCRAP METAL?
A scrap metal collection program available at the Terrace Bay Landfill and will accept any and all forms of scrap metal, appliances and metal-based items from businesses and residents, at a cost (Landfill Site Passes).
Please note: on-site attendants have the final say for what will or will not be accepted as “scrap metal.”
Landfill Site Passes must be purchased at the Terrace Bay Community Centre Office; passes are not available for purchase at the landfill.
The costs for scrap metal drop-off is as follows:
*Must be entirely organic. The Township reserves the right to refuse any yard waste
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY OLD TIRES?
The Township is registered with Ontario Tire Stewardship and accepts tires from most passenger (on and off-road), industrial and agricultural vehicles at the landfill—provided that the tires are without rims, the service is free.
Landfill Site Passes must be purchased at the Terrace Bay Community Centre Office; passes are not available for purchase at the landfill.
