Canada Day 2023 – Terrace Bay Beach

Join us as we celebrate Canada’s Birthday! 
Join us at the Terrace Bay Beach for an evening of family fun, music & fireworks celebration!  This event will still take place if the Fire Restriction Ban is still in effect. The bonfires & fireworks display will be cancelled!  
Events begin at 4:00pm – Bring your lawn chairs, kites & shovels!  Make your own bonfire (wood provided) Pending the Lifting of the Fire Restriction Ban!

Final Street Sweeping to resume Monday, June 12, 2023

RESIDENTS NOTICE:
Residential FINAL Street Sweeping Operations will resume starting Monday, June 12, 2023 for the final time.
Property Owners are responsible for clean-up of any lawn sweepings left on the road after the final spring sweeping operations have concluded.

Notice – Restricted Fire Zone as May 31, 2023 @ 12am

As of 12am, May 31st, the Northwest Region will be under a restricted fire zone. This RFZ includes the Township of Terrace Bay. All burn permits are pulled until the restriction is lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.

Council Committee Members Needed!

Council is seeking volunteers for two positions on the Accessibility Committee for the remainder of their current four-year term and commencing immediately.  The Accessibility Committee advises Council about the requirements and implementation of Ontario’s accessibility standards.

Hydrant Flushing June 5 to 9, 2023

Residents Notice - Hydrant Flushing
The Ontario Clean Water Agency will be conducting Hydrant Flushing with the Municipal Drinking Water System from June 5 to 9, 2023 . Residents may experience discoloured water during this maintenance activity. If this happens, residents are to run their water taps until clear. The Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. If you require more information contact the Municipal Office at 825-3315.

Our communities have spent a hundred years fundraising & volunteering to support our local public hospitals & build services closer to home.
Now the Ford Government is planning to take thousands of surgeries & diagnostic tests out of our local public hospitals and privatize them to for-profit hospitals & clinics....unless we stop them.

Residents Notice – New Office Hours

Please be advised that effective June 1, 2023 we will be adjusting the office hours as follows:

Administration Office Hours

Monday to Friday  09:00 to 16:30

Recreation Office Hours

Monday to Friday 09:00 to 21:00
Saturday 10:00 to 16:00

This allows the Township to accommodate more tax and water payments that are being made in person.
